The monthly report that answers 202 questions about your business — automatically
Beta is capped at 50 active businesses. We're onboarding carefully while the models mature. Founder pricing is locked in for the first 100 members — once beta ends, pricing goes up and grandfather pricing disappears.
You're making decisions in the dark. Here's why.
Your accounting software knows what you earned. Your CRM knows who your leads are. Your ad platforms know what you spent. Your payment processor knows who paid.
But no single tool knows all of it. So you're left stitching spreadsheets together, guessing which ads actually produce paying customers, and hoping nothing falls through the cracks.
56% of small businesses are making decisions guided by incomplete information every month. And 80% have been caught off guard by a sharp rise in expenses they didn't see coming. — Digits Financial Visibility Survey
Here's what "flying blind" actually costs you:
- Invoices going overdue because nobody's tracking them across systems
- Ad spend on campaigns that get clicks but produce zero paying customers
- Leads your team never followed up on — revenue that evaporated silently
- Customers leaving without warning, because the signs were in a system nobody checked
- Budget decisions based on what Google claims happened, not what your bank account shows
The problem isn't your tools. The problem is that each tool has partial information, and no tool has the whole picture.
Bottomline gives you the whole picture — in one sentence
No jargon. No dashboards to check every day. No MBA required. You connect your tools once — about 10 minutes — and every month, Bottomline builds you a plain-English report that shows what happened, what it means, and exactly what to do next.
Six things no single tool can show you
1. The full financial picture
Revenue, expenses, margins, cash flow, receivables, and a 90-day cash forecast. Your income statement and balance sheet, plus a plain-English explanation of whyprofit went up or down. Not just "what happened" but "what it means."
✓ Verified from your accounting data2. Which ads actually produce paying customers
Your ad platforms claim conversions they only partially influenced. Bottomline compares what they claim against what your bank account shows. One user discovered Google Ads was overclaiming conversions by 75%.
⚠ Most businesses don't know this is happening| Platform | Claimed | Actual | Overclaim |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | 21 | 12 | +75% |
| Meta Ads | 8 | 3 | +167% |
| TikTok Ads | 4 | 1 | +300% |
↑ Real data from the Bottomline demo report. Platforms overclaimed by 75% overall.
“Google Ads told us we had 18 conversions. Bottomline cross-referenced with our actual invoices and found 8. We were making budget decisions on numbers that were 125% inflated.”
— Fitness studio owner, Pacific Northwest
125% ad platform overclaim“We were spending $5,700 a month on ads and had no idea which campaigns actually drove revenue. Bottomline showed us that one campaign returned 20x while another returned zero. We reallocated the budget in a week.”
— Roofing contractor, Southeast US
20.2x ROI on best campaign3. Where your systems don't match — and what it's costing you
Bottomline finds every customer across every system and shows you the gaps. Four leads with no accounting match? That's $12,000 in potential unbilled revenue. Six invoiced customers with no CRM record? That's $28,400 with unknown attribution.
The average business starts at 52% match rate4. The full customer journey — ad click to payment
See the exact path every customer took: which ad, when they became a lead, how many calls, when the proposal went out, and when they paid. No single tool shows this. Bottomline stitches the journey across all your systems — and finds the broken ones.
5. Money you've earned but haven't collected
Overdue invoices, deals won but never billed, proposals unanswered for 14+ days. In the demo, these totaled $16,480 in recoverable revenue— money already earned, sitting in someone else's account.
Average first-report recovery: $16,480“We had $18,000 sitting in overdue invoices we didn't even know about. Bottomline flagged them by customer name with exact dollar amounts. We collected $12,400 in the first two weeks.”
— HVAC company CFO, Gulf Coast
$12,400 recovered in 2 weeks6. What to do — and whether you followed through
Every report ends with ranked, dollar-valued actions. Next month, Bottomline checks whether you did them. No more running in circles.
8 leads never got a follow-up call. That's $39,200 in lost revenue.
Your CRM has the leads. Your accounting has the invoices. But nobody connects them. Deals fall through the cracks silently.
~$39,200 lost
~$1,800 lost

Last month you said you'd collect that invoice. Did you?
Most reports tell you what happened. Bottomline also tracks whether you acted on it.

AutomaticStep 3
Your first report lands in your inbox
Once a month, on the 1st, in plain English. You'll know what happened, why, and exactly what to do next.
1st of each monthWill this work for my business?
"I only use QuickBooks and Google Ads."
That's enough. Even two systems reveal whether your ad spend produces paying customers.
"I don't run ads."
Cash flow forecasts, overdue receivables, churn patterns, and broken journeys have nothing to do with ads — and that's where many of the biggest insights live.
"My accountant already handles this."
Keep your accountant. Bottomline gives both of you the connection between financials, CRM, and marketing. Accountants love it.
"I'm not technical."
"You made $127,000. You spent $78,400. You kept $48,600." If you can read that, you can use Bottomline.
"My data is a mess."
Everyone's data is a mess. That's the whole reason this exists. Bottomline tells you exactly where the gaps are, what they cost, and how to fix them — starting with the biggest dollar impact first.
"I've tried dashboards before and stopped checking them."
So did we. That's why Bottomline isn't a dashboard — it's one report that lands in your inbox on the 1st. Read it in 5 minutes, act on what matters, close the tab. No daily check-in required.
Why I built this

I'm Paul Dalton. I built Bottomline because I've been building versions of it for clients for years.
Every time, the same request: “Can you pull all our tools together so we can actually see what's happening?” QuickBooks, CRM, Google Ads, Stripe. Every system telling a different story, and whichever story got told loudest in Monday's meeting became the plan.
So I'd stitch the data together, reconcile it, and turn it into one honest report. And every time, the same thing happened: the numbers leadership had been making decisions on turned out to be wrong. Campaigns being scaled were losing money. “Best” customers were the slowest to pay. Growth on one dashboard was churn on another.
After doing this enough times, the pattern was impossible to ignore. Most small and mid-sized businesses are flying blind every day, and they know it. They can't afford a finance team. They can't justify a fractional CFO. They rely on whichever dashboard shouted loudest last week.
I'll be straight with you: I haven't run a small business myself. What I have is years of being the person companies brought in when they finally wanted the truth, and every time, the truth was worth finding.
Bottomline is that tool, built once, properly, for every business that needs it.

Bottomline doesn't replace your accountant or bookkeeper, and it's not financial advice. What it does is pull data from your accounting, CRM, ads, and payments into a single view so you can see the relationships between them. The work that used to take hours of spreadsheet wrangling shows up in one report, already done, once a month.
Every month without visibility is a month the leaks continue
One collected overdue invoice pays for a full year of Bottomline.
